September 25, 2007: Week 3 Football Notes
Setting
Up Franchises
Former Buffalo Bills running back Travis Henry, now a Denver Bronco, last
week was ordered to provide $3,000 a month for a boy in DeKalb County, Georgia,
whom he fathered out of wedlock three years ago, according to the Atlanta
Journal-Constitution. Henry, 28, has fathered nine children by nine women
in at least four Southern states and has been ordered by various judges to
provide child support for seven of them, according to court records examined
by the newspaper.

Sampling of Majors
Here is this week's sampling of majors that are being pursued by current college
football players:

Biology (Tulsa)
Exercise Sports Science (Tulsa)
Oklahoma at Tulsa
At halftime, as Joe Schad interviews Bob Stoops as he is going off the field,
he experiences trouble with the microphone. Afterwards a voice is heard, as
the Tulsa players are shown running off the field, saying, "Ah, is there
a mic issue there? Shit, I apologize."
At the start of the 3rd quarter, Sean McDonaugh said, "Well, we wanna apologize. At the end of the half, as Coach Stoops was going to the locker room, there was a word that should not made it onto the airwaves, but did. Caught on the microphone that was open, inadvertently. And we apologize that you had to hear some language that certainly is not appropriate for our air, and not up to ESPN's high standards. We regret it."
Miscellaneous
Louisville had an 8 yard punt. While covering the kick, the punter ran past
his own 8 yard punt. After averaging about 21 yards for his 3 punts, he was
benched.
Louisville had 555 yards passing and lost.
